The GuHong returns with torpedoes! This more recent version of the DaYan GuHong feels smoother than its predecessor and does not pop.

Please note: Originally, the orange face of the DaYan GuHong v2 was replaced with purple stickers, but with our most recent restocking, this is no longer the case. Therefore, we will be discontinuing the sticker options for the DaYan GuHong v2.

5 of 5 Stars! One of the best cubes from Dayan
By cool cuber on Wednesday 27 May, 2015
ive had this cube for a while now, and i gotta say, it's a really nice cube I replaced the stickers with half-brights from the cubicle and lubed it. the cube has a loud clicky sound that i find pleasant. the torpedoes add stability to the cube. I use this cube most for OH and i have my OH single of 19.84. the turning is very smooth and controllable if set up properly. Like i said, the cube has a slight clicky feeling that some users might not like, i however love the feeling and have been considering making this my main again

5 of 5 Stars! AMAZING, Better than the Zhanchi
By Airon Cayowet on Wednesday 25 November, 2015
This cube is amazing, but terrible out of the box, in fact, I put it on my shelf of cubes I don't like as soon as I got it. Lately, I ordered a zhanchi, and I decided to give the Guhong one more chance, because they were both Dayan cubes. It was still terrible, but I cleaned it out, lubed and tensioned it, and IT WAS AMAZING. As soon as I got my zhanchi I, it performed nothing like the Guhong. This cube is fast, controllable, has good corner cutting, and rarely pops if ever! I just ordered a 2nd one before I wrote this, and I hope it is just as good, except better out of the box. This cube is smoother than the zhanchi, with a little to no clicky feel. There is a slight bumpiness when turning slow but unnoticable when turning fast. This cube has AMAZING M-slices, which I need because I am a sub 20 Roux solver, but this cube brought down my times from 18s average down to 16s, it may not seem like much, but 2 seconds can be the difference between an amzing average and an ok average. I also got my best time on this cube (9.87) and I also used it in my first competition! I HIGHLY recommend this cube to any level speedcuber.

4 of 5 Stars! Great cube, but there is one problem...
By Sascha Modha on Wednesday 02 September, 2015
This cube is really great, but it did not turn very well until I lubed it with weight 5 on the hardware, and Lubicle speedy on the pieces.

2 of 5 Stars! Too many pops.
By rockbandmania12 on Monday 13 July, 2015
I was so excited to get the GuHong V2 because the V1 was my main. When I got the V2 I assembled it and it was so loose that it was almost unusable. I tightened it to the tightest tension and still there were a ton of pops. I have to say that I wouldn't recommend this to most people. But if you want to get it that is fine.

1 of 5 Stars!
By Andy Huang on Sunday 22 February, 2015
This use to be my favorite 3x3, but recently Dayan has been messing around with their molds and their quality control. Everything on TheCubicle's part such as shipping and customer service were extraordinary but the cube itself is really bad. Dayan has changed the design of the pieces ever so slightly for no apparent reason. This cube specifically is really locky and cannot reverse corner cut at small amounts and it is due to an unannounced change in the corner piece of the puzzle. It's probably the worst puzzle I've ever had from Dayan. Don't buy it unless they finally change it back to the design about 7 months ago.

For me this cube is too uncontrollable, it keeps loosing its shape as sides and layers that I don't want turning try to turn. I think it's probably a great cube for the very experienced cuber but it's not as nice to use as many other cubes for the beginner or intermediate cuber. I'll have to order some #5 lube and see if over lubing it makes it easier to control.
