Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Bad just don't get it

I got this thing at a yard sale near me and it is bad. The turning is very sluggish and slow an corner cutting is half a piece with a lot of force. ANd this thing is big next to my main the guansu. And cube pops a lot, it pops about 20 times during solves. And the core is just a lanlan 2x2. If you are going to spend the money just get an aosu or a guansu.

Very Bad

When I first got it, it was tensioned so tight I had to take it apart to even get it to twist, then that is where all of the pops started. Then just my 4th or 5th day of cubeing with it, it completely broke a middle piece and made a mess from the explosion of all the pieces. So now its just sitting on my counter with the springs and all coming out of the inside.

Review

I owned the V1 which is larger than this one (66mm vs this one being 62mm). The V1 pops A LOT and the new edge piece design of this V3 model was aimed at correcting this, which it did. Additionally I've become fond of the 62mm size of the SS 4x4 which made this size appealing.

When I got it, it was very blah out of the box, which is common with the Dayan MF8 series. I broke it down and cleaned up some flash on the 2x2 core and lubed and tensioned it. The center slices rotate AMAZINGLY but the outers are still a bit rough and clicky. If you loosen it too much, then the outer layers deform too much and there is a risk of popping.

All in all a good cube, but it's still no SS 4x4. I thought it could be at the level of a SS V4 4x4 or a modded V3, but it's a few notches behind them IMHO.
