Product Description

The hotly-anticipated Gans 356 is now available! This futuristic-looking cube appears to be somewhat based on the earlier Gans 357, but it features a more stable core design and various improvements to the pieces. It has received glowing reviews in China, where it debuted, but only now has a limited initial quantity become available for sale in the USA.

This cube comes fully unstickered, with 2 sets of factory stickers, an instruction manual, and tensioning tool. The entire package comes in a large plastic case.

New Center Caps: The center caps for the Gans 356 have recently been redesigned for even better performance. The version with the new center caps is called the Gans 356S. Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

long standing main

This cube felt pretty good out of the box, though it came pre-lubricated it needed a little bit of work. I added some lubicle speedy on the pieces, and dropped 2 drops of maru lube on opposite edges and worked it in. once it felt good I stickered it with JR Cuber's color shceme,and tightened a tiny bit. once it was set, up I fell in love and this stands as my main to this day.

Bad Cube

This cube out of the box was very good, but when I tensioned it, It made the cube ten times worse. Looser tensions caused the cube to catch more often and made it way more flexible. Tighter tensions make it catch more and make it harder to turn(As expected). Tightening the tensions did not make it more controllable because you'd keep getting catches then you would overshoot the next turn. Overall not a very good cube, I still prefer the HuaLong over this by far.

Better than TangLong

I didn't seem like this was a big deal so I didn't get it for a while at first. But after I recived this cube, I was completely shocked. It was so fast even with the tight tensions. There was one problem with it though. That was the lock up issue. It wasn't that bad at first but then slowly got worse. So then, did the corner mod where I loosen the corner screw about 3 wrist turns and pulled until I heard a click. That seemed to help a little but I was still not satisfied. I read some review s and saw that the new caps had came out. I immediately order a set and place them on. I did a couple hundred solves and it eliminated almost all of the lock ups. I don't know how it will do without the corner mode I stated earlier up this vibe it amazing now. I got my pub of 7.98 seconds. Before I average about 11-13 seconds but now im almost sub 10. I still have to learn some more oil algs though. In conclusion, I was completely amazed after the mods and caps but it is still a great cube out of the box. It seemed like it was already broken in. It is definitely my main now. I think that this might be be Better then the TangLong. It's just my opinion. So I think that you should still try both of the cube out and see for your self which one is better. Keep up the good work GANS!!!!!

Gans 356 - Unstickered

When I first opened the box, I was super excited to try this cube out. This cube was, and still is, super fast. It is a little bit uncontrollable for me, but is still probably my main. Corner cutting is over 45 degrees with little force, and reverse is near line-to-line. There is no need to lube this puzzle, because the factory lube is great. My new main over the Weilong V2, and an extremely enjoyable puzzle to solve. I would recommend this puzzle for anyone with a low-20 second to sub-20 PB.

Best Feeling Cube

This cube feels amazing! Out of the box it has a smooth feel and is kind of slow. Although, the slight slowness doesn't really demote it at all. This cube is REALLY fast, and it might be too fast for some. There were a few lockups/catches, such as the corner catching on the side of the center piece, that didn't happen on my 356. But, there are still some catches. I honestly think the only problem with this cube is the small catching problem and the price. I think it is definitely worth the price. No other cube can compete with this one in my opinion.

This cube is absolutely fantastic. It's my new main. There isn't a place where it cannot corner cut and you can add weights and the box is cool.

Amazing feel and great speed. You can reduce centre catches by loosening the corner screws a tiny bit

I live it I love it I love it I got it a couple of days ago and it is very stable much more than the 357 and just a very nice smooth feel

Very very good cube

I have been solving the Gan356 for a week now. I think I did about 1500 solves. At first my times where not so good because I could not control it very well. But now I get my best times with the Gan356. It is probably the best performing cube out there currently. It catches on the sharp corners but you can file that down. After that it never catches with normal turning, it is very fast and forgiving. I highly recommend the cube if you are willing to spend about twice the amount a good cube costs.
