MoYu HuanYing

Too sandy and bit slow. I used Maru rube, but no changes. Got a MeiYing!

I won't be using it as a main, but it is a pretty fun cube with a unique mechanism. Very fast, hard to control, but got a decent corner cutting and reverse.

Out of the box it was a little slow and smooth. A subtle crunchy feeling developed once I started doing algorithms on it, but it started to corner cap pop a ton. I don't know if I got a defect, but it sure likes to pop. After break in, it becomes pretty loud, so if you don't like loud cubes, stay away from this one. It retains that crunchy, smooth feeling after break in. I cannot recommend this cube anymore due to the fact that it is very outdated and you can get better cubes at lesser prices, but it's a good collection piece.

TL;DR get this if you want a collection item, but it pops a lot.

Although I only owned a HuanYing for about 4 hours, (at a competition,) but I solved it a lot, and I can definitely say that it was a lot ahead of its time. Although it doesn't compare to any cubes nowadays, it is clearly better than some of the newer budget cubes, so if you're looking for a cube that is fairly good, not on that tight a budget, and don't care about the loudness of the cube (this cube is pretty loud,) this is definitely the cube for you. In the 400 or so solves I did, I was getting about my regular average, no corner twisting, and no popping. I only have 1 problem with this cube; the loudness. I would recommend this cube for people on more of a budget but still want a fairly good cube.

For a long time, this cube was my main. However, since I have gotten a better cube (Moyu Aolong v2), my solves are far better. First things first, this cube is scratchy and catches quite a lot. The open corner doesn't allow for any more reverse corner cutting than half a cubie, which is unimpressive now that we have cubes doing almost a full cubie of reverse corner cutting. This cube pops like nothing else, there is barely anything holding back the pieces. Explosions are quite common, actually. It is an all around UNPLEASANT cube, and I windswept don't recommend it... To people like me. This cube is a 20 second solvers worst nightmare. For those of you still reading, first of all, I thank you for your attention, and second, this cube is great for 40 second solvers. It isn't too fast, so others may control it, and it isn't too slow, so tps isn't that bad (for a 40 second solver of course). So all in all, do I recommend this cube. It was tricky, but since I used to adore this cube when I was slower, I must say yes, i do recommend. The account of stars I give this cube doesn't in any way reflect another persons potential liking of the puzzle. It is my opinion now, and I continue to believe that slower solvers with love this puzzle. If you're still reading, congrats, I would give you my aolong v2, but it's too awesome to give away.

It was alright... The HuanYing is one of the LOUDEST cubes I've ever solved on, and it had a bubbly but kind of crunchy feel that I mildly enjoyed. I personally like a more stocky cube, so I traded this with my friend for a FangShi ShuangRen V2. Much better.

after using maru lube tensioning and breaking it in this is a sub-par cube. I was disappointed.

Awesome cube! Unique yet simple mechanism. I lubed it with normal Maru lube but then I realized that since the internals are so hollow and empty, there's no place to lube in the cube really other than the edges. When properly adjusted to the tension of the cuber's liking, the turning is SO smooth and airy while doing finger tricks and algorithms. No cuber can fathom the corner cutting ability of this cube... absolutely EFFORTLESS. The torpedo-like inserts in the edges are a huge help and the cube has never popped on me. Overall this cube is best for a rough cuber who has inconsistent and inaccurate turning. Its a good alternative for me, but just for me, I'll stick with my 57mm Dayan Zhanchi. But it all comes to preference.

i feel that this cube can fly. It is excellent at corner cutting,and is perfect straight from the box. Nevertheless, this is an all out cube and you should definitely get it.
