MoYu TangLong

Very smooth out of the box when thecubicle lubes it but after a while it gets clacky and crunchy. It also catches a little bit do to the squared off corners. Everything else is up to par.

The cube has good stability and has a good speed. The color sceme is my favorite color sceme and I got the blue cube. Pretty good at corner cutting but there is a lot of lockups.

I got this cube in 2015 and since it has been a really good cube and has been my main for a really long time. It is very controllable and I haven't experienced many pops or corner twist but, out of the box it needs to be broken in and I got the cubicle version which has maru and lubicle speedy and tensioned out of the box. This cube is the best for cubers learning the Advanced method I would recommend for cubicle to team up with Moyu to make a Cubicle/Moyu Tanglong M(Magnetic) and/or a Cubicle/Moyu Tanglong V2 for more competitive cubers and competes againt the top cubes on a buget

I was using the weilong v2 before then I got the tanglong and i loved it at first but after i didnt solve on it for like 3 months it got very slow and i struggled to get my times the way they were before.

I got this cube at a comp for free from a friend. He gave me the brown version. The cube has an "airy" feel, and the closest thing I can relate it to is a Valk. It is a little bit slower, but I made it my backup main. Personally, I think this is my favorite Moyu 3x3 out of the bunch. So, my overall grade for this cube is a 9/10. A lot of people say that the Moyu Tanglong is too slow, but I feel that the speed is fine, unless you really do need 180 degree turns with one flick. The turning is very quiet and smooth, but doing algorithms quickly will cause the cube to give a satisfying little crunch. The corner cutting is easily 45, and reverse is almost 2/3 of a cubie. The tensions are perfect out of the box, providing controllable but fast turns. Popping is never a problem, and corner twisting isn't frequent.

About my personal experience with the cube: Okay, so I have a sub-35 average, and my PBs with this cube currently are as followed: single: 23 seconds, Ao5: 28 seconds, Ao12: 31 seconds. My setup isn't the best. I use a mixture of Vaseline and floor wax as my lube, but it works fine.

Overall, I recommend the Moyu Tanglong to sub-50 cubers and below. If you like a smooth but crunchy solving experience, buy this. I also would show this to rough turners, because the speed can make up for overshooting.

This became my main out of the box. This cube without much setting up is basically a mix between a GTS and Gan Air with tighter springs, which in my opinion, are polar opposites. The track on the edge piece reduces edge friction which I didn't like on the Air. The cube has stability of in between the GTS and the Air and will lock occasionally, but doesn't make that much of a difference while solving once you get used to the cube. The performance isn't top notch, which makes me miss the Air but you would probably expect that after more than a year.

The sticker design is absolutely beautiful. It's noise and feel makes it extremely satisfying to solve on as well. My times went down as well as evened out to where the graph isn't all over the place. Although this cube feels 2015 at times it's worth it. If you are curious about this cube, just buy it.

I love this cube! I would recommend to anyone really. I have not set up yet because my lube has not came in yet but it is fast and smooth. It's is my main over a weilong gts, aolong v2, some other great cubes. So overall I would give 5/5 stars to this cube! Moyu did amazing on this cube. I thank the cubicle for sending this to me. It helped me get my pb of 23.014 and dropped my time by a few seconds.

OOTB, this puzzle is amazing. Nothing wrong with it. Enough said.

Okay, now let's go over how I set this thing up. So first, I cleaned out the factory lube (like, duh). And then, I shaved every piece by hand with sandpaper, to reduce friction and lockups. Then I swapped the stock springs with Maru CX3 Soft-Hearted Springs, and then I coated them with some Weight 1. Then I had the pieces lubed with Weight 1. So after this, I broke it in. And then, it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Incredibly smooth and fast, but blocky at the same time. Also very crunchy as well...Corner-cutting reaches over 45 and 3/4 reverse on medium tensions. Extremely stable, has no corner twisting, and no pops too! Just buy this epic cube!!!!!!!!!!!
