Product Description

Compound V is a new water-based lube designed to speed puzzles up. Compound V boasts greater water-retention, higher viscosity, and unique cohesion qualities to give your puzzles a lasting and refreshing burst of speed. Unlike traditional water-based lubes that bead up and repel plastic, Compound V sticks to the inner plastic of puzzles and synergizes well with silicone-based lubes.

Not to be applied to hardware. Water based lubes should not be applied to the screws or springs as this will likely lead to rust issues.

This lube is scented with a mint aroma.

Note: There may be some variation in color due to the processes involved in manufacturing, but the formulation and properties are the same.

For best results, apply two drops, and break in. To clean, gently wipe off your puzzle pieces with a damp cloth.

Disclaimer: Although the lube is perfectly safe to touch, please do not ingest it, set it on fire, or expose it to extremely high temperatures.

Our Promise to You

All of our products are guaranteed to be free of defects, or we will replace and reship at no cost to you. Please contact us within 4 weeks (28 days) past the delivery date to report any issues with items you have purchased.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

The Lube Works Well Depending on What Cube You Apply it in.

The lubricant has worked well in some cubes but was disappointing in others. It makes cubes feel very sticky, and it even makes most of the cubes I have slower, which is actually useful for some cubes. However, it does not last long, and it wears off rapidly. This is what happened with my DaYan TengYun; I put two drops in it and it was at a nice speed at first; it was slower. This lube was supposed to be useful for speeding up cubes, but does the opposite, and makes some cubes, like Dayan 2x2s, extremely horrible; it makes them overly sticky. I would not recommend this lubricant, however, given I already have it, I use it to slow down cubes. It is good in some cubes, like the TengYun like I have mentioned, but horribly in others. In essence, the lubricant does not work in its intended purpose, and it does the opposite of what it is supposed to do.

Makes Cubes Worse

Would not recommend this lube. Every puzzle I've tried it on has gotten worse after applying it.

Ruined every cube I put it in :(

I bought it thinking it was going to be great, now I realize I should have bought DNM-37, this lube actually ruins all cubes that you put it in.
After 1 solve, it completely dries out; leaving residue all over the internals. Buy Lubicle-1, Lubicle speedy, Lubicle Silk, or DNM-37 etc. Not this lube. Which is sad...

Smell is very off-putting

It doesnt smell bad. But it is pretty strong and I dont really want my cubes smelling like candy.

Performance is very odd. there seems to be an extended break in period. And then it does work. Not its not completely "gummy" free.

Overall I would not buy again.

Meh...

Honestly, I can't really recommend this lubricant. It works for only so long, before it gums up your cube. I had a Valk 3 M and bought some of this at Penn Cube Day Fall 2018. Without testing it on something else, I put 2 or 3 drops in. As a result, it slowed me down when I competed. So if you're looking for something that will make your cube fast almost instantly, get Lubicle 1 or DNM-37.

Dnm37 is better

It speeds up your cube for a few minutes of solving, but dnm works better and lasts longer. It seems like it's just scented water

Bad

It will not last but for some reason it only works good In a few cubes this lube is like DNM but will last for a short time GET DNM-37!

Decent lube, but not worth your money.

This lube works well with silicone lubes and does speed up your cube. However, it dries up way too quickly. You can go about 10 solves until it dries up. Once it dries up, the lube can slow down your cube. Putting in more only makes the effect worse. Who knows, maybe I got a bad batch.

Extremely Good

This lube works extremely well, quickly speeding up your puzzle and speeding up even the slowest cubes when used with DNM, Mystic, or Speedy.

Dnm37 is better

It's just scented water. It'll speed up your cube for a few minutes of solving, but dnm works better and lasts longer.
