DianSheng 4x4

This is the best 4x4 on the market. Not only does it lock up but it also feels worse than a rubik's brand 4x4. I bought five of these to extend the lifetime of this puzzle and 3 of them are absolute sh*t (the other two can't even turn). Spend all your money on this cube and search no more for a good 4x4!!!!

The box is the best part of the cube. I dont even have it.

This cube is really good. Do not listen to any other ratings because I just got this,(April 4th,2018, and it is way better than what the reviews say.

So I got this knowing that it is terrible. So I gave it to my sister and she's like. Wow this is so good. And when I turned it and did a G perm (I hate g perms I hate g perms) it popped on me. So to get some cash I sold it to my older sister for $10 (who calls me a nerd 🤓) ( ya being the middle child and only boy, ( besides my dad ) sucks ( she knows the cubes suck but she gave the cash anyway. So turning is smooth and terrible. It's corner cutting is absolute garbage. Forget about reverse. And it pops. A lot. Pieces literally just fall out. My friend has this cube and it is awful. Locks up and pops its really bad.

This cube is the worst 4x4 I have. Lock-ups happen evesy other turn. I do not recommend this cube.

THIS CUBE IS HORRIBLE! Even the rubik's brand 4x4 is better. No joke. I would give 0 stars for this cube if it was possible.

This cube pops at almost every turn. This is by far the worst cube I have ever owned. Rubik's brand is better than this. no joke. There aren't even adjustable tension settings. No, it does not corner cut in the slightest. Be my guest and try, it will just explode. I have never tried lubing it but it is just so bad, why would I? Also the color scheme is jacked. DON'T BUY IT IT'S NOT WORTH EVEN A DOLLAR!!!!!!!

This was my very first 4x4, at the time, it was very good for me. I did not know how to finger trick a cube and was anything but fast. I think I averaged around 8 minutes. I got into speed solving and purchased a moyu aosu -- one of the fastest recognized 4x4s and the main of many speedcubers.

I decided to try out my "first 4x4" for the first time in a few months and can I say, the think SUCKS. The cube is very slow and when you try to fingertrick it, you can't. The layers need to be nearly perfectly aligned for it not to lock up and when it comes to corner cutting, non-existent. I thought that the ball core would help prevent pops as it might of held the pieces in place more securely, lets just say it doesn't. Also, when this cube pops, I don's get the pops that I get on my aosu where 1 or 2 pieces fall out of the cube, I get an explosion. Pieces everywhere. Once this happened to me, I spent about 5 minutes reassembling when I noticed 3 of the corners had the stock broken and a few edges were also busted.

This cube is overall terrible. I do not recommend this product. Beginners looking for a cheap cube? I recommend the shengshou. Advanced speedcuber looking for a potential main? I recommend the moyu aosu (both sizes are great, 60mm and 62mm)

Corner Cutting - 2/10 - Cuts are nearly nonexistent, attempting to reverse cut is asking for the cube to explode.

Turning Speed - 3/10 - Even after lubrication, the layers just seem to "grind" on each other making for a less than ideal feeling.

Stickerless Shades - 10/10 - All colors contrast well.

Color Scheme - 1/10 - I remember the first time I solved this, I actually had to start over. On the puzzle, one set of sides is switched. On a classic scheme, while yellow is facing up and blue is facing forward, red is right of blue. On this puzzle red is left of blue. This is very important to know when solving as a 4x4 does not have centers dictating the color of the side.

Mechanism - 2/10 - I can see where they were going with the ball core yet it fails to perform its job.

Final Score - 18/50 - I do not reccomend this cube to anyone. This is not a product you should buy.

I bought this cube as my first 4x4 when I was a beginner, then after I started to speed solve, it locked up a ton. And that's not the end of it, one day I was doing a solve and I had to use corner cutting to make my next turn because of my turning style, and one of the center pieces broke. Since this is not like a regular 4x4, it just has a big sphere as the core instead of internal pieces like other 4x4s, so the puzzle was unusable. Don't waste your hard earned money on this terrible, terrible puzzle
