Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Puzzle Review #2: YJ Guanhu

So, why did I buy a budget megaminx from 2016 or so? I needed something to fill in a tight budget. Anyways, first turns on this puzzle were stiff and dry. Break-in was going to be necessary with this puzzle, which has made the turning more bearable, but the corner cutting is awful. Now, i'm no megaminx master, but this puzzle seems rather tight and I can tell loosening this puzzle will only make it unstable with slightly better corner cutting. I'm not one to bicker about bad corner cutting, but this is just not it. Here's how I'd grade this puzzle:

Appearance and Grip: C-
Stickered puzzles look better, but for megaminx, you want stickerless (a lesson learned the hard way). A sticker peeled off my first month of having it and the sticker shades are hard to differentiate between. I can spend nearly 15 seconds trying to find a piece I need.

Performance: D+
Turning is decently smooth when doing signle moves, but when you start doing algs, it starts to lack behind. The lackluster corner cutting makes doing tougher algs a nightmare

Feel: C
This puzzle has a nice turning feel to it, but that's the only nice thing about it. This puzzle wants to slip out my hand and can't hold a dodecahedral shape very well.

Final Rating: D+
Again, this is a budget cube from ~2016, so this is just a goof on me, but seriously, this thing isn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend you buy this, even if it is for collection. It doesn't add to anything the yuhu v1 (might) have, and the yuhu v2 is just better in general. If you see this puzzle, give it a hard pass.

YJ GuanHu Megaminx review

this megaminx is my frist one so i was so excited out of the box it was dry and moderate speed and corner cuttung is decent but when i broke in it it was fast but corner cutting is not good i didnt lubed it cause i dont have but i still like it

Great Megaminx for beginners

I am a beginner to megaminx and I recommend this if you are just starting but I don't know about speedcubing it though.

Set up with maru

I got this cube and it was dry but fast. Almost swishy. I over lubed it with maru and the dryness went away. Good beginning megaminx. My box was partly opened, but that is ok. Good job yj. I did not tension it's just lubed. It is super underrated. My main megaminx

this a decent megaminx. it is bigger that my aurora which is nice if you have big hands. the grip is very nice. the species are convex. another thing to add is that out of the box this could cut just shy of 45 reverse was not so great at about a fourth of a piece but after tensioning and lubing with traxxas 50k the get very very good. recommended for any looking to get into megaminx or are looking for something new.
