Lucas Etter is an American speedcuber who specializes in the small-cube events (2x2, 3x3, and 4x4). In 2011, at the age of nine, he first competed at the University of Indianapolis. Since then, he has competed in over 40 competitions primarily across the United States. Lucas is best known for his 3x3 world record single of 4.90 seconds, the first sub-five solve in competition. Additionally, Lucas has held the 2x2 world record average, is a 3-time 2x2 national champion and a one-time 3x3 national champion, and placed third in 3x3 at the World Rubik's Cube Championship 2017.
