Product Description

The Mini FangShi JieYun is the miniature version of the latest release from FangShi. It features an assembly similar to that of the FangShi GuangYing, but with some major differences in the pieces that are expected to make it perform even better than the FangShi GuangYing.

Unlike the 57mm version, the Mini FangShi JieYun does not have grooves on the pieces where the stickers are placed.

Please note that some new cubes when being used for the first few times may experience what is termed a "pop". This is when one or more parts of a puzzle pop out without any damage actually being done to any of the pieces. This also occurs from time to time during normal usage. Pops are typically not considered a defect if the parts which come off can be reassembled by hand.

The corners on 2x2 puzzles should not be twisted as doing so may snap the piece. Damage caused by corner twisting is not considered to be a defect.

Bad corner cutting. I lock up constantly. It turns choppy even with lubing.

OK, this cube was extremely tight out of the box, but had OK performance. I decided to set it up and see how it performs. First of all, the center caps are hard to get off. I needed a paper clip and a tutorial to know how to remove it. And when I finally got it off, I unscrewed all the centers except for one. And because it was SO TIGHT, I couldn't get it off. So, I just decided it was junk and threw it at my cabinet, resulting in 2 things: (1): The center is now bent, and (2): my cabinet has a dent in it. Do not buy this. This is junk.

Too tight!

This cube comes with extremely tight tensions, with an impenetrable core. You cannot adjust tensions easily, and so the corner cutting and movements are terrible.

Fangshi Jieyun

After looking at several reviews of the regular Jieyun, I figured the mini would be a great option for OH seeing that it had ridges and also really nice M-slices. I should have read the description however, as this cube DOES NOT have ridges. However, it is still a great cube, even on tight tensions. My one complaint (besides the lack of ridges) is that is uncontrollably fast, even on really tight tensions. However, it still has great corner cutting, so Im afraid if I loosen it it'll become even faster. In conclusion, if you want a very fast, dry, and crunchy feeling thats still pretty good for OH and Roux users, I recommend the Mini Fangshi Jieyun!
