The MoYu AoLong V2 is the revised version of the immensely popular and successful MoYu AoLong. The revisions are intended to reduce the possibility of corners twisting accidentally during solves, which was widely publicized during Feliks Zemdegs' would-be world record 3x3 solve.

The changes mainly target the corner-twisting and the overall stability of the cube. The pieces are now a little less bubbly compared to the AoLong V1, and the grooves on the corner pieces have been made bigger. The box has also been redesigned for this version.

Note regarding batches: Our AoLong V2s are from the newest batch, and they all have glossy plastic.

Great Cube
By Luke Kline on 21 May 2015
Product: MoYu AoLong V2
The MoYu AoLong V2 is a great speed cube it was dry and tight when I got it. But after losening and putting lub in it instantly became my main. The only problem with it is that it doesnt respond well to Maru lube but other then that its great.

A good choice for main
By Ernest Fowler on 16 May 2018
Product: MoYu AoLong V2
I had this cube for about 2 years and has been my main in all my comps.
When I got it, the tensions were about right, and I didn't really need to lube it.

The cube has great corner cutting, and really good speed (it isn't so fast that it turns beyond your aiming point, which is good). I have had pops on this cube, but with the right tensions, it doesn't pop. I haven't had a pop with this cube in almost 2 years. I noticed that M moves are just a tiny tiny bit harder to turn than other cubes, or maybe I just haven't mastered it yet.

This cube feels very solid and high-quality, and I usually don't care too much if it drops on the floor. The stickers on it have lasted as long as its lifetime, and they are plastic stickers, so they don't rip easily. I use Maru lube and sometimes Traxxas 50k Differential Lube. I highly suggest this cube to any cuber, whether experienced or not.

Even though this cube came out in 2014 this cube can stand up to good 3x3s today! I got this cube at Nats 2017 and it was used so I don’t know what the person who I bought it from did to it. But whatever he did to it, it was awesome! The stickers were a little banged up tho. The corner cutting on this cube is very good, the speed is very good! I recommend this cube to anyone! Just buy this cube!

Old Cube but easily holds up
By Buggzy on 29 January 2018
Product: MoYu AoLong V2
This cube is old but I bought it to add to my collection. I got it in stickerless because I just thought it would look cool. This is not my main because my main is a Gans 356 M but I loved using this puzzle. Out of the box I was nearly getting my average without removing the lube or tensioning it. It did feel a little gummy but after around 50 solves the feeling completely went away. Almost 500 solves later (accurate) This cube was easily getting my average after relubing and a little tensioning. I hate using this word because it is overused but this cube definitely deserves the term "buttery." It is fast, controllable, buttery, and not that loud. And for $15 dollars this is a steal! 5/5 EZ

Grate cube
By Brendan Thull on 11 January 2018
Product: MoYu AoLong V2
This cube is really good except it’s really stiff. If you tension it gets a lot better though. Right when you open it you can tell it needs lube but with lube it’s incredible. If your a beginner speed cube, than I would HIGHLY recommend this. But if your a pro/professional cuber, you might won’t to get something a little bit faster. The stickers look really great. There are little to no pops and no corner flips. So overall, this is a grate cube.

I got this cube because apparently every LOVED it. Well, I didn't really. When I got it, it was quite buttery smooth, but it was just really slow. I tried tensioning the thing, but still, not great. After a hundred solves or so, it started getting quite bumpy. Wouldn't recommend it over other 15 dollar cubes, it was pretty disappointing.

$15 Cube, $50 Value.
By Matthew Mehrtens on 27 December 2017
Product: MoYu AoLong V2
Disclaimer: I'm not exactly a cube connoisseur and haven't had the opportunity to try too many other cubes, but I've had enough experience cubing to post an honest and unbiased review.

Out of the box: I was not impressed right out of the box. My first solve with the cube and factory lube was slow and the cube felt almost papery. It was very tight and basically what you would expect out of a $15 cube. I'm sure after breaking it in with a few hundred solves some of this discomfort would go away, but regardless, I was displeased.

My setup: I purchased Cubicle Labs 3x3 Magnet Kit - Lite, 10cc Cubicle Silicone Lube - Weight 4, and Lubicle Silk (links below as well as tutorials). First I magnetized the pieces, then I used the Weight 4 lube to lubricate the core (I've heard several tutorials say to use a weight 5, but this was my first time using cubicle silicone lube so I decided to err on the side of caution. It's up to you whether you want to use weight 4 or 5.), finally I put 2 drops of Silk in between the cracks of the fully assembled cube. Adjusted tensions to be a little looser than factory set-up.

Post-Setup Review: It's a beautiful, wonderful, magical work of art. After installing the magnet kit and lubing it all up, it spun around as fast as my fingers could move it. It looked as smooth and steady as any $50 magnet cube on the market. Corner cutting and reverse corner cutting is spectacular (however, this is basically expected from a speed cube these days) and the cube feels fast but very controllable. The cube isn't obnoxiously loud any more either.

Summary: Mediocre speed cube out of the box, but with an additional $10 of custom set-up, you have a $50 cube that's a force to be reckoned with.
