ShengShou 3x3

This cube is terrible! I have one, and I modded it, but this cube is very slow and sluggish in a bad way. I normally prefer slower cubes, and I just ordered a thunderclap from SpeedCubeShop, which I will overlube like Chris Olsen, but the SS 3x3 is really slow, and I hate the feel. It is extremely bumpy and not smooth at all, and just does not feel the same as a regular 3x3. I am glad that they stopped manufacturing these.

Personally, when I had this cube it was the only 3x3 cube that I owned. I wanted to get back into curbing after taking a three year break(back even before the Zanchi came out) because new cubes were out. I saw this in a bundle(2x2—5x5) and bought it for around 20 USD. Every other cube but this 3x3 was trash. This cube was sandy feeling[but very smooth], and quite stable. My fastest solve(at the time) was 50 seconds with this cube. Unfortunately... I was out with my father and dropped this cube, and it literally exploded. I was devastated; caps were everywhere, plastic was broken for no reason! This cube was so much better than what that brick ground did to it. It was perfect, and I wanted to avenge it's death. I bought better cubes, solved tens of thousands of times and finally brought my PB to 30.57 seconds with my GANS Air. I would never have traded this cube for anything because it made me love my favorite hobby. It was good out of the box, but needed breaking in. Overall, with the epic story, and about a year of using it, the cube gets a 4/5.

This is the cube reason that I think shengshou should stick to higher order puzzles this cube out of the box is very sandy feeling on the turns and its very hard to corner cut 45 degrees with no reverse cuts available out of the box an after setting up. the puzzle has a problem with popping out of the box in every state of the puzzle. By I think beginniners should puck this up

very blocky, slow, and not great... feels like rubiks 2, but worse
